copying defective DVDs

I downloaded this to copy to my hard drive DVDs with defective sectors (that I cannot copy by just dragging to the hard drive), but results have been mixed. It does copy some defective DVDs but not others, and the success rate is about 50 percent. The DVDs are of old home videos and have no copy protection.

Not sufficient use yet.

I have only used it once on a DVD of Celine. I am still running into the same problems of protected software that thwarted my Mac the Ripper on the TS files. I could not convert the VOB's in MP3's that would play the audio. I have had so far a little success on the TS files that
Aimersoft ripped, some of the VOB's play audio others have 0 (zero) in the converted MP3 files. This is one tough DVD. I can get video with no audio.

All I can say is that Mac DVD Copy is not worse than Mac the Ripper and a bit better.

I have solved the problem of converting VOB from the TS in MP3's.
You must understand that I am not a video/audio expert but I do like copying videos for my files and extracting audio files for my iTunes.

I am ready to test your Mac DVD. This Celine DVD is a D9 - whoa I never have even heard of D9's, but after googling around I have learned a little. My experience with DVD copying has been from D5 to D5's.

I googled to find a source of these D9's but not luck there so far, I don't want to buy a ton of them but a few to work with as I come across these large DVD's. Perhaps you can direct me to a source. What I have found out is that the D9 is +r and my Mac is -r. So when I burn the TS file in my disk utility I hope your Mac DVD copy understands this difference and can handle it. This will be a new learning curve for me.
